This blog is principally about three things that fascinate me: philosophy, education and politics. It contains people and ideas that have influenced me over the years and I think are important and would like to share with others. The selection is personal, of course. It also includes some papers of mine on some of the themes, for those who might be interested, although I don’t consider them to be orginal contributions to philosophy. I leave that to those who can. My principal interest is in the two arts that Kant thought were the most difficult – education and government, which I extend to politics – and using the tools of philosophy (concepts and arguments) to understand them. The tools themselves are designed and made by others.
